Volunteer Your Time To Help An Animal
All of our members volunteer. No one, including the board or directors, receive any compensation for the work they do. This work is done in addition to their “normal, 9-5″ jobs.
The reward comes in knowing that they made a difference in the life of an animal – that because they got involved and opened their home, one less animal will be euthanized in Eastern Iowa.
This is very rewarding when an abused or neglected animal is rescued or when a foster animal gets adopted into a new, loving and devoted home. Often, the people that adopt the animals keep in touch with the foster home for several months and/or years after they adopt the animal.
Our volunteers dedicate anywhere from 2-20 hours a week depending upon their circumstances and preferences. We NEVER have enough volunteers and are always looking to recruit more.
